Timeline
Since birth in 1951 Jesus the Christ has had a constant focus of helping humanity, like He aways has and always will. He will often share in the OM Teachings about His life including the early years and what He was doing and going through, to help us understand His incarnation better. These direct teachings will correct any errors or omissions in this brief introduction, and answer many of the questions that come up. Another resource for further information may be found at the buddhamaitreya.org website.
1951 - 1990
Jesus was born in a small coastal town called Tillamook in Oregon USA, to Native American parents who in those days needed to keep their ethnic heritage secret. Jesus has often talked about his early years and how he did not fit in to the norms, how he knew he was Jesus and the Buddha right from the beginning, and how that affected the family life. One highlight here is at age 9, when Tibetan Lamas visited His house and requested Him to leave with them to their monastery, saying that He was the Messiah. This was the real-life event that inspired the 1993 movie "Little Buddha" with the main character being the young boy Jesse (ie Jesus), and is well worth a watch. The interview from a few years ago with His brother Rick Spencer offers a fascinating glimpse into this event along with other first-hand recollections from the 50's and 60's. Other highlights are:
1990 to 1994: In the 1990's Jesus the Christ was starting to externalize as Buddha Maitreya, along with the Tibetan name given Him of Jetsun Gyalwa Jampa Gonpo, and was accepting the first students. He had visited Hawaii and Kathmandu and had been spontaneously recognized by elderly Lamas while doing pilgrimage at the sacred sites. By 1994 the visit from the Tibetan Lamas back in 1960 had come full circle and Jesus had started up the Sanatan Dharma Center in Kathmandu, a large building complex close to the Boudha Stupa. This for many years to come was a teaching and support centre for exiled Tibetan Rinpoches (teachers), and the base for financial support for monasteries such as Maitri Vihar and Karma Raj Maha Vihar. Also worthy of note here are the 13 Tibetan Buddhist Nuns "The Pharping Anis" who were being sponsored for their Lama retreat which included renovation of the nun's retreat house and providing of daily essentials.
1995 to 1999: During this period, organized production and sales of the first Shambhala Healing Tools was developing, Glastonbury and Mt.Shasta "Archangel Michael Soul Therapy" centres had begun their outreach and fundraising, the UK charity and USA Church was established, and Jesus' process of healing Tibetan Buddhism was under way. There was a meeting with the Sharmapa, travel sponsorships to the West given to Tulkus, the first of many visits to Drepung Loseling Buddhist University in Southern India, and growing support for Tibetan Buddhists in Kathmandu who typically lived in very poor conditions. For example, a homeopathic clinic was established at the Karma Raj Monastery along with addressing many other urgent basic needs especially for the youngest and eldest monks, who lived in squalor.
Recognitions during this period came from Logon Tulku (with previous lives as Karmapa), Khenpo Karma Chochok (Teacher at the Karmapa institute of New Delhi), Khenpo Khenrab Gyatso of Bhutan, and Lama Tandi Wangchuk of Bhutan. In 1999 this culminated in the first enthronement and official recognition ceremony in Kathmandu offered by Ven.Khenpo Khenpo Gyatso of Bhutan, who had previously visited the Soul Therapy centres in America to learn about Jesus' Dharma activity in the West. "The Immortal Drum Sound of God, The Long Life Prayer of Buddha Maitreya - May this be Auspicious....A tulku born in the Western part of the World, America, in him has arisen previous learning, having mastered all the knowledge, inner and outer in previous lives, now has spontaneous experiences and realization, thus becoming the very Lord of Compassion and all skillful means through the virtue of his holy name Buddha Maitreya. These are the reasons disciples and others always pray for him as the cause and condition of virtue." - Khenpo Khenrab Gyatso, Bhutan
So began over a decade's long cycle of major enthroments and recognitions for Buddha Maitreya within all the lineages of Tibetan Buddhism, as He was recognized as a current incarnation of Maitreya plus other incarnations from the past such as Guatama, Tsong Khapa, Milarepa, and Padmasambava.
2000 - 2012: After the first enthronement, things moved quickly in terms of the Tibetan Buddhist process, and the financial support from Buddha Maitreya increased exponentially each year. In 2000 He met with some of the Khamtsens (individual houses within Drepung that come from different monasteries in Tibet) to learn more about the monastery's needs. For instance, a ceremony was given for Buddha Maitreya by the Nyagre Khamtsen's 150 members and land offered to build a teaching & administration Center for the Khamtsen, a project which His Holiness agreed to sponsor. A 2nd Khamtsen - Gyaepa - started to receive money for a new prayer hall and residences. There were many other donations and sponsorships put into motion at this time, too numerous to mention here, such as funding to the Tarching Fuchokling Monastery in Dolpa one of the isolated high Himalayan Valleys in Northern Nepal to purchase 1000 statues for the monastery, and sponsorship for Yangon Tulku who is one of the original disciples of Sakyamuni Buddha with many blessed incarnations (including the translator Lotsawa Kawa Pekltsek) at the time of the Tibetan Dharma King Trisong Detsen and Dorje Wangchuk, one of the chief disciples of the Master Atisha and the great Buddhist Saint Naropa. He is known as an emanation of Lord Maitreya.
In Tibet, a number of Tulkus recognized Buddha Maitreya leading to multiple visits by Buddha Maitreya and his wife Tara to their monasteries in Tibet, for many of these western students also came who were able to witness the various recognition and enthronement ceremonies along with the project work. Significant donations were made at this time for these projects, such as at Dema, Lithang, Dzamthan, Kashi, and Yambajing in Lhasa. Work started on the Namgyal Victory Stupa in Dharamsala India, along with a new Dharma Center staffed by western monks.
In America, this period saw Buddha Maitreya start up Dharma Centers in Sedona, and the "Archangel Michael Soul Therapy Centre in Glastonbury" moved to larger premises (The Old Chapel) in order to offer retreats and to host 12 monks from Lubum Khamtsen for their World Peace Tour where they performed ceremonies around the UK in order to fundraise for improvements at Drepung. Dharshans took place in the USA and abroad at most of the locations mentioned.
After being featured on radio shows and giving Dharshan teachings in the bay area of San Fransciso for a number of years, Buddha Maitreya's work there was consolidated with the opening of the first meditation dharma center in San Francisco in July 2001, moving to larger premises in Berkeley in September 2001. In Summer 2001, Buddha Maitreya also began a weekly radio show teaching and talking about his work with the monastery projects and US based meditation centers.
2012 to Present Day (2024)
The charitable activity in regards to Tibetan Buddhism in India, Nepal and Tibet continues to this day but the focus over the years gradually shifted to the USA as Buddha Maitreya and his wife Tara saw the need for a western monastery that would be a major throne seat and teaching centre for both the Buddha Maitreya incarnation and the coming externalization of Buddha Maitreya as the reincarnation of Jesus the Christ, which we now witness in process today. This monastery is known as the Shambhala Planetary Monastery and located in Kelseyville California in a pristine area of inactive volcanos, near one of the oldest lakes in the world, and it is designed by Jesus as a large scale Shambhala Healing Tool of transmission at this very specific location, with its building -sized application of Sacred Geometry, 40 extra large Etheric Weavers, and around 50 speakers both inside and out that play Jesus' Invocation and Prayer Soul Therapy music at all times.
Along with maintaining and further developing the Monastery, Jesus now continues his Work of teaching both through the OM meditations, that may be viewed on Youtube and other platforms, and periodic one-day classes called Dharshans that are streamed over the internet if people are unable to attend in person. Recently these teachings more oriented to the various processes and signs of Christ we see in the world, in order to help as many people know and understand about the coming destiny, which is the externalization and manifestion of the Avatar.
Charitable & Dharma Student Structures
In terms of charitable status and governing documents there are 2 structures. The UK charity "New Group of World Servers Trust" covers UK & Europe; and the "Church of Shambhala Vajradhara Maitreya Sangha" which is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization is for the USA any other countries. Both charities are reliant on income from either sales of the Shambhala Healing Tools and other wellness products, Dharshan and OM meditation offerings, and donations. All income is used to carry out the charitable work, fund specific projects, and to cover day to day running costs and overheads.
UK Charitable Work & Expenses - 2024 Summary
The UK Soul Therapy centre currently provides daily sandwiches and other food items for the local Glastonbury community, sponsors health clinics in Nepal, and Tibetan Monasteries in India and Nepal as funds permit. Many of these sponsorships go all the way back to the charity's registration. As well as the monthly financial targets, there have been and still are various specific projects initiated by Jesus the Christ that involve the UK centre along with the USA non-profit in special fundraising drives.
Average monthly running costs for the UK charity are £3,000. The daily program of helping the Glastonbury needy is another £1000 per month. UK monthly sponsorship fundraising targets, along with various individual sponsorships to monks and nuns, are around £7,000, consisting of:
Kathmandu, Nepal
Drepung Loseling Monastery, Karnataka, India
USA Charitable Work & Expenses - 2024 Summary
The Church based in USA that runs the Shambhala Monastery in Kelseyville, California and the Omaha Soul Therapy Center is a signficantly larger entity, with fundraising targets much bigger than in the UK, that may be briefly summarized as follows:
Global Healing Projects 1995 - present
Jesus the Christ, behind the scenes, has always initiated numerous large scale projects not detailed in the timeline above. This process continues today and is dependant upon the amount of money that can be raised. All of these projects reflect His use of money as Holy Spirit that always has the end result of removing barriers to global healing and positive change, ushering in new technologies, healing the past, and directing humanity's true destiny toward living on a sacred planet. Some examples are:
What lies Ahead
These are some of the things Jesus the Christ talks about in the OM meditations and teachings. Aside from all the other projects mentioned already, this is essentially what your are helping Him with through your financial support and personal commitment to following the teachings:
